Description

Pomacea diffusa (Ampullariidae). In stagnant water in drain between garden wall and road. 3rd Lane, Nagoda, Kalutara, Sri Lanka. Snails in water numerous, of different sizes, and what appear to be egg masses on wall above water. The snail was identified from these photos by Dr. Dinarzarde Raheem, the authority on non-marine gastropods of Sri Lanka. According to her, Pomacea diffusa is an introduced invasive species in Sri Lanka.
