Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata)

Description

Visual description:
This plant stood approximately 16 inches tall, with light and dark green horizontal stripes. There was a thinline of old flowers that were wilting growing out of the middle of the plant.

Habitat:
Found in a partially shaded area, near large trees, this Snake Plant does not get direct sunlight for very long each day.

Geographic Distribution:
According to the following source, Snake Plants are an invasive species that can live in a variety of areas. It is a succulent native to tropical parts of Africa, but were introduced to many tropical areas as crops. They are not found on all continents.
