I have many cicadas in my house / balcony in Church Point NSW. They are often alive but on their back and unable to turn over, I have tried gently turning them but they fall back onto their backs, is this normal?
Unless a wing is twisted from landing, I would hazard a guess that these cicadas are close to the end. They tend to struggle to stay upright when this is the case.
