Birds are going wild for houses and seed at Desert Christ Park.

YUCCA VALLEY — More than 40 birdhouses are attracting wild birds into Desert Christ Park, but they wear out quickly and they need to be replaced.
The birds are hungry too and devour the wild bird seed as fast as it is sown on the grounds.
Winter birds suffer from high mortality when the temperatures turn colder, but providing effective shelters can help them survive even the coldest nights or most wicked wind storms, according to the National Audubon Society.
