Observation Locations

Hi everyone! Thank you for continuing to help monitor Madison's coyotes and red foxes. A note on a few observations: When reporting an observation on the computer, make sure to click the map where the sighting occurred. This automatically generates coordinates for our database and saves us a lot of time! Thank you very much!

Last week (last week of June, 2018), Wednesday or Thursday, approximately midday to early afternoon. Rosa Road, south bound (going towards Mineral Point Road), right in front of Glen Stephens Elementary School. Red fox crossing from school side of the road to the neighbourhood side. I didn't know about the multi-coloured tags when I saw it, so I didn't know to look. Besides, he had gone into a yard by the time I came abreast of him. Using a generic "him" here, no idea if it was male or female.

I found it extremely surprising to see one traveling at that time of day, knowing that they tend to be twilight wanderers.

Friends of Owen Park work party found what appears to be a cayote den dug under a tree stump.

Would this location be of interest to your project? Entrance 16 inches by 12 inches wide.
