Should any insects already added to this project be removed ? Are orange/black chrysomeldae beetles possible lycidae mimics ? @tonyrebelo @beetledude ?

Rather cast the net wide and accept a few less likely options - all look quite reasonable.
Mimicry is not on-off but a gradation from vague to perfect. It is also in the eye of the beholder: what you think as good or as bad may work perfectly for some predator, and not at all for another.
The best we can do at this stage is exactly what you are doing here: collect and catalogue. When we have enough we can start to evaluate.
