I see repeatedly Pennisetum records from the Katsina Flora project identified as P. setaceum. P. setaceum is an East African species that does not occur naturally in Nigeria. You can find some photos on http://www.zimbabweflora.co.zw/speciesdata/species.php?species_id=107870 and http://eol.org/pages/1115117/media .
The Pennisetum records I have seen on the project records are all P. pedicellatum http://www.africanplants.senckenberg.de/root/index.php?page_id=78&id=1225, but there may also be P. polystachion http://www.africanplants.senckenberg.de/root/index.php?page_id=78&id=1226 around, and maybe a few other species.
Please help to correct the misidentifications.
