Be a part of a citizen science movement and contribute to the Portland-Vancouver species inventory!
At our Eco-Blitz, scientists, families, and community members will work together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live at Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The event is free and open to all ages. No experience is necessary. This year we want to encourage participants to utilize the iNaturalist app. If you are able, please come with a device with the app already downloaded. Each walk leader will have a tablet to document the species seen, but participants will receive a brief training on using the app prior to the walk starting and then have the ability to practice in the field. There will also be activities as well as snacks and beverages at the trailhead!
Registration is required for the walks. You can sign up for one or more walks. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/steigerwald-lake-eco-blitz-2018-tickets-44812028985
