Resources for ID
Hi all,
Thank you for contributing to the project - I'm so excited to see our progress.
I created this journal post as a place for us to share resources for ID of the organisms we find on Coast Live Oaks. Please add your resources in the comments if you'd like!
- iNat observations with the field "Host" = Coast Live Oak - https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&verifiable=any&view=species&field:Host=47850
- iNat observations with the field "Host Plant ID" = Coast Live Oak - https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?verifiable=any&place_id=any&field:Host%20Plant%20ID=47850
Gallformers - an incredible website dedicated to plant galls - https://www.gallformers.org/
You can search for everything on Coast Live Oak - https://www.gallformers.org/id?hostOrTaxon=Quercus+agrifolia&type=host&detachable=&alignment=&cells=&color=&locations=&season=&shape=&textures=&walls=&form=&undescribed=false@yerbasanta shared this resource with me - it's by the UC IPM program, for organisms found on all oak species. They refer to them as pests, but we can still like them and appreciate their incredible diversity -
