Yosemite would close: How a federal shutdown would affect people.

National parks: Parts of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Point Reyes National Seashore, Yosemite National Park and other parks would close. However, closures in many areas would not be fully enforced. The Presidio in San Francisco would remain mostly open.

Hantavirus plaintiffs who stayed in Yosemite may see claims go forward in court.

A federal judge in San Francisco is considering whether a group of families, who made legal claims against the federal government, Yosemite National Park and the former park concessioner Delaware North related to the 2012 hantavirus outbreak that sickened 10 and resulted in three deaths, will get to move forward with their case.
