I have an important doubt with this change. According to the reconstruction of the phylogeny of the genus Bursera (De Nova et al 2011, Becerra et al 2012), B. fagaroides and B. odorata are distinct species. It is true that there is a long discussion about the possible inclusion of B. odorata within B. fagaroides, but to date I do not know of any molecular studies that support this status. Therefore I suggest they remain as separate species.
