Found at a pond at WSU's Ninnescah field station
This is one of two species of blister beetles eating my tomatoes. The second picture captures one red-handed so to speak. The tomato is a cherokee purple.
Female. On some Echinacea purpurea by a small pond in my garden. There seems to be some sort of ambush bug (maybe a jagged ambush bug nymph) below it.
A little female (see second photo) caught in the northeastern array at the WSU Gerber preserve.
This is a balloon flower. It gets it's name because it balloons up before it opens as seen in the first photo. The second shows an open flower.

A baby flathead catfish. You can tell it from a mad tom because of the small clear patch on the tail fin. Was caught in a seine at the WSU Ninnescah field station.
A slenderhead darter captured in a seine survey at the WSU Ninnescah field station in shallow water.
The second picture is the better one. It shows a blooming plant with a little jumping spider on the leaf.
Found on the high bank of the little arkansas river at Harvey county west park. Theree is a little green sweat bee pollinating it.
Lazily swimming at the surface in Chisholm Creek Park
This was found just to the east of the boardwalk at Chisholm creek park growing right at the edge of the water.
