This plant grew in a ditch, close to one another. I believe there would normally be water directly underneath the plants, but it was hard to tell with the excess of snow.
What I believe is to be a Rough Cocklebur bush. It was dried up because of the cold and the leaves had fallen. The burs had snow on them but were very much "velcro" like.
Seen at 10:41 in backyard.
Black and brown in color.
Wood is 5.5 inches to scale in thickness.
Seen alone, assumed to live in Northhampton Park.
About the size of two fists, high in the trees in a patch of trees in a very urban area. Surrounded by apartment buildings in downtown Toronto.
About four feet tall at the side of the highway through down town Toronto Ontario. Partially cultivated land, but many wild flowers appear to grow here interspersed with planted trees.

Black fungi on the branch. Was seen every where inside the park. Ranged from big to small.
