Common name : Indian Tolypanthus
Botanical name : Tolypanthus lagenifer

Family : Loranthaceae

Indian Tolypanthus is a parasitic shrub, native to South-West India.

i saw this beautiful flower at Matheran - Maharashtra - India.
This plant host on Tree - Xantolis tomentosa.
Flowering : July-September.

Description

In Matheran (Maharashtra) a Evergreen Hill Forest, i saw Indian Blue Robin From month of January to May. Bird regularly visit small water stream and near by bush.

But in month of May-2006 i saw one bird in Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary near Nagpur (Maharashtra). this forest is Dry Deciduous Forest.

The Beddome's Cat Snake i saw in Three Different locations.

  1. Rajmachi Fort - Sahyadri Range - Maharashtra.
  2. Sudhagadh Fort - Sahyadri Range - Maharashtra.
  3. Matheran a evergreen hill station - Maharashtra.
    In matheran i saw in rainy days at night in tree of Anjan ( Memecylon umbellatum ).

Description

The Black-line Rasbora (Rasbora daniconius) is a benthopelagic and potamodromous species. It occurs in a variety of habitats: ditches, ponds, canals, streams, rivers and inundated fields, but is primarily found in sandy streams and rivers. It is also found in brackish waters. It sometimes forms large schools. It is found in the rivers of Maharashtra and Karnataka in India. The body is oblong and compressed. The greatest width of the head equals its post-orbital length. It is about 400 mm in size.
In adult stage the black line in his lateral body are feint and the silver color in his body have light pinkish in color.

Description

This Hammerhead Flat Worm i saw in Matheran a Evergreen Hill Forest in Maharashtra State.
one of Dark Brown in color in month of June-2012 with head is look like hammerhead and one in month of November-2010 which is Buff in color with three strip running from head to tail without Hammerhead.

i saw this frog at Matheran (10 Jun 2012) and Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary (3 Jun 2011).

Habitat : Evergreen Forest at High Elevation, and forest edge habitat. It is encountered during the wet season. It breeds in temporary pools.
