Tentative ID, eyes appear dorsal rather than lateral. Very briefly removed from water for ID purposes. Found in vernal pool. Open to alternate IDs but habitat and eye position suggests wood frog to me

I saw these prints on a trail near the top of a hill.
The animal had walked up the trail, then started chasing a snowshoe hare.
My palm is around 4" long, for reference.
A friend and I thought it was likely a lynx.
