Description
According to the gas attendant working there, this flock of birds comes back every night. They take up 2 lanes of the gas pumps. These birds also sit on gas pumps, the tops of each kiosk, and the potted palm trees.
Occasionally, they will get startled and fly around as a giant flock.

December 2008 notes
Coyotes have been happening here recently. This is one of four that emerged from the vegetation with the coyote brush in the background. One coyote had a gopher and another had its eye on a nearby hunting Great Egret. The egret sensing the unwanted attention escaped the area. My first evidence of the actual presence of the coyotes were from seeing scat and hearing their calls each time a siren had passed.

Check out curled claw: holding a mouse. Saw this hawk swoop down next to exit ramp onto Sunset Blvd. Disappeared into bush and then emerged with the mouse held in claws. Mouse was still squirming. Lots of food trash in area. Interesting: food trash attracting mouse, Hawk waiting at food trash area, Hawk spotting mouse, Hawk grabbing mouse. See second photo with YELLOW CIRCLE showing hawk in bush right after capturing mouse.
