Personally I don't have any reason not to curate toward POWO on this. But there should be a wider discussion first given the impact to about 2700 observations.

Tagging @lysandra @brothernorbert @brucebennett @sedgequeen @apseregin @davydovbotany @eric_lamb
to start the conversation. Everyone feel free to tag additional people who should be included in the conversation.

In Austria @christiangilli is our top specialist for Poaceae. I want to involve him in this discussion.

I have been using the name Koeleria spicata since 2019. https://data.canadensys.net/vascan/taxon/32207 Jeff Saarela showed me the data and the genetics supports.

Personally I would follow this study already mentioned above: P. Barberá, A. Quintanar, P.M. Peterson, R.J. Soreng, K. Romaschenko, and C. Aedo. 2019. New combinations, new names, typifications, and a new section, sect. Hispanica, in
Koeleria (Poeae, Poaceae). Phytoneuron 2019-46: 1–13.

Done by experts on taxonomy and phylogeny of Poaceae in general and particularly on Koeleriinae

I have sorted most of the species in their new genera.
3 problems still to be solved :
Trisetum spicatum (more than 1000 observations) currently discussed here : https://www.inaturalist.org/flags/651452
Trisetum interruptum (two homonyms) currently discussed here : https://www.inaturalist.org/flags/651464
Trisetum projectum : a deviation has been created here : https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/1483756/taxonomy_details by @jdmore

I say delete the deviation on T. projectum and swap.

Also it looks like there's no dissent on the T. spicatum change, please make that too.

Time to sleep for me (it’s already tomorrow on my side of the Atlantic). I’ll do it tomorrow (for you, later today for me).

T. interruptum is now swapped. This can now be closed?
