Is there any rule against identifying photo 1? In the event there is, is that rule specified to apply to casual grade observations? I don't think it's even been proven that I broke any policy, unless someone can prove that. This is also coming from a user with a clear grudge against me, who harassed me for years.
I've also explained re: this observation that I believe staff was already aware that I and others always ID photo 1. SInce one of those identifiers mentioned it explicitly to staff once, and staff didn't reply. Note also that staff didn't create any of these flags regarding identifying photo 1. Another major consideration for disagreement among users about these ID policies is that multiple serious contributors have raised the issue multiple times and that staff either didn't comment on it or didn't provide justification for what some users are now claiming is the "policy." For that reason, there is arguably some justification to ID in the manner I have been.
No rule, but guidance is provided here: https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/help#manytaxaperobs
From that link:
"Can I add multiple taxa per observation? What if my photo has a flower AND a cool bug?
No"
So, as I said, the observer of the observation is who (accidentally) broke "site policy," which is why the observation is casual grade. Yet the flagging users, whom tellingly didn't flag 6 others with the same ID as I used, are questioning IDs on a casual grade observation that was wrongly uploaded in the first place.
bdadgley's curator status has been removed for insulting comments (now hidden) here https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/9075792 and by a pattern of escalating conflicts rather than deescalating. We've resolved associated flags and recommend everyone focus on descaling and stepping away from provoking further escalation
This flag is from the same page and for the same reason as this other flag by jakob (https://www.inaturalist.org/flags/614215), so seems unnecessary. Note also that this flagging user has a history of inappropriate conduct against me that was proven in past flag resolutions.
