As I was rounding a corner my hiking companion spotted him (anatomy leads us to believe it is a he) siting under a small tree. We stopped and watched for several minutes as it crossed the trail and headed down a talus field. The time was around 18:30 when we observed this individual.
With a house sparrow in there too.
