Amateur (he/they) based in NS, interested in beetles (particularly Melolonthinae and Chafer subfamilies), as well as the terrestrial isopod families within Crinocheta. I enjoy anything living - the first years of my life were exclusively spent in the garden, so you may see me give IDs to organisms such as local vascular plants, amphibians, and the odd reptile. In insects, my interest lies mainly in Pterygota/Winged and Once-Winged species, although please remember that I am NOT a professional opinion in any way.

You may see me give broad identifications to observations that are labeled "unknown" to help with categorization, but PLEASE don't agree with them if you cannot confirm the ID yourself. If I've got something wrong - please correct me if you have the time!

I'm a bit of a "completionist," so excuse any of my observations that are overly common or obvious in nature (you may see common birds, weeds, etc.), I enjoy collecting as many species as I can, to act as a personal journal of sorts.
