Hi there! I am a fish & wildlife biologist working in the fish & wildlife habitat restoration and conservation field for the past 25 years. I've been working with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for the past 15 years covering most of the diverse habitats of Northern California. I have B.S. degrees in Botany and General Biology from Humboldt State University, with additional interests and coursework in Entomology, Mycology, and Geology. I have a Master's of Science in Conservation Biology from CSU Chico. I have also worked as a field botanist for the Lassen National Forest and private consulting firms, and been a conservation planner/land steward for The Nature Conservancy's McCloud River Preserve for 3 years where my focus on insects 24/7 flourished. I attempted to create thorough lists of Preserve butterflies/moths, plants, amphibians, beetles and aquatic macroinvertebrates, as well as mammals. I love challenging myself to be zen with insects I photograph in hopes that they relax and give me a nice shot, but I have much to learn. And I especially love sharing my love, interests, and fascination with our conservation community :D
