I came to iNaturalist as a byproduct of my interest in photography, and in particular the new-to-me field of wildlife photography. Along the way I discovered a curiosity and satisfaction around identifying different creatures and studying their behavior. This has deeply enriched my experience as an amateur photographer and recharged my love of nature and the outdoors.
