Acacia sieberiana

Wooded grassland, fire hardy. Forms pure stands in the Estcourt, Dundee, Newcastle and Ladysmith areas. Bark peeling and papery. Leaves with hairy stalks, pinna pairs. Bark shelters invertebrates and therefore invites foraging birds.
