Embarrassed Apology, but Thanks!

I have to apologize for my seeming abandonment of this project. My only (poor) excuse is that I got pre-occupied with other projects here at the California Science Center and simply forgot about this one. So in spite of almost a year of silence, this project is still a going thing, and I thank all of you out there that have been contributing. A next step for us is to link the information you've been contributing to the California Science Center website (www.californiasciencecenter.org) where a wider swath of the public can see the work you've contributed to.

Thanks for a great start. Look for us this weekend.

Thanks to all of your who've helped us get our project off to a good start. The California Science Center will be at the National Park Service's Science Festival (http://www.nps.gov/samo/sciencefestival.htm) at Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains tomorrow (4/25) where we'll be kicking of the project in live mode. We'll have Science Center staff passing out information on how to participate in the project. If you are in the area, the Science Festival is a lot of fun, and you'll see a lot of our regional science learning institutions represented. Stop by the Science Center table and say hi.

LA Zone Flora and Fauna is open for business

Greeting to all who have joined this project, and to any others who may join after this post is made. The LA Zone Flora and Fauna project is now open and accepting observations. We're trying to identify the occurrence of plants and animals within the region shown on the project map.
