The San Diego River: an important resource.

Our San Diego River is a jewel — a 52-mile rural and urban waterway running from Julian to Ocean Beach — and for many local residents, it remains undiscovered. I want to do everything I can to help enhance access to the river and continue to protect its entire 440-square-mile watershed.

Groups Sue California To Get Cleaner Water.

San Diego Coastkeeper is one of three clean water groups suing the state in an effort to get better water quality. Coastkeeper Matt O'Malley said the groups want to make sure the state complies with federal clean water rules by doing a better job of identifying and listing impaired waterways that don't meet the federal guidelines.

Giving Tuesday!

Giving-Tuesday is here! Please consider donating to Earth Discovery Institute. I sit on the Board-of-Directors (a non-payed position) for this group and although we're a smaller environmental non-profit, we do great work in getting inner-city kids out into nature, planting native plants for endangered species like the quino checkerspot butterfly, and environmental outreach.
