Multiple observations in one post

Please make sure that you only upload one species per observation.

There are numerous observations with multiple species in it. These must be split into individual observations.
If you suspect you may have done it, please go and check. If you need assistance in correcting it leave a comment on this post and we will assist you.

So, if you have 3 photos of plant A, and another 2 of plant B, One observation contains the first 3 photos. And the next observation the second 2 photos.

If you add multiple species to one observation it makes it impossible to add an identification. Thus you will never get a answer to your question.

To everyone doing identifications

We always think of a project like this as getting observations. But to be a real success the observations need to be identified and verified.

This is a big thank you to all those behind the scenes trolling through the observations and adding or correcting identifications.

Thank you very much for your dedication and commitment.

Australian Acacia biocontrol

If you have taken a photo of any of the Australian Acacia’s, and they have funny bumps and lumps on them, it may be biological control.
You can duplicate the observation and add the biocontrol as an observation as well.

The bells have tolled

The bells have tolled for Southern Africa. In a few hours from now those around the world behind out timeline will also finish.
All going well the final results will be available for all tomorrow.

Currently the Garden Route is placed in 11th position for observations standing at 19977. Next on the list is Greater Philadelphia Area. Hope we hold them, and New York City off.

For species, the Garden Route is currently in a comfortable 5th position at 2748 species, with Dallas/Fort Worth 2682 species. Hold thumbs they have no ace up their sleeve.

Well done everyone. To those who took the time to take observations and upload them, and never forget those who spent hours - no, days doing identifications.

Everyone give yourself a high 5.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we had over 10,000 more people participate compared to last year, and for the first time ever, we made over one million observations in the four days of the challenge!
