4 years state of the project post!

A lot has happened in the world the last year and so it has, too, for the Seaslugs of the World project. You might have noticed the project moved to a collection project and this has impacted significantly the indicators:

  • 146,629 observations (+172%);
  • 1,975 species (+19%);
  • 10,530 observers (+214%%);
  • 3,387 identifiers (+135%);

Interestingly, the ratio of research grade observations stayed the same at 81%.

Here's the last observation of the 4th year of the project, and a rarity too:
(Thordisa bimaculata, observed by @noisylittlescientists)

As the 5th year of the project starts you can rest assured we'll keep doing our best to make it a useful tool to gather and provide information to all who want to know more about these amazing creatures. So, get in the water, keep your eyes open and cameras ready and share your observations!
