Hi All!

We are excited to announce that the Natural History Museum of Utah will be hosting a two-day bioblitz. Participants that fulfill the challenge will be eligible for free admission tickets to the museum. We hope that you enjoy using the iNaturalist app to learn and engage with the natural world around you (especially in our cities).

Also, if you capture some great photos that reflect nature in our cities, we are also holding a photo contest for our 2019 exhibit 'Nature All Around Us'. You can submit those photos here: (https://nhmu.utah.edu/photocontest).

Hey everyone!

The Natural History Museum of Utah will be in the STEM Action Center at DIY Fest this weekend. Come check out our table, get oriented on iNaturalist,and then go out and explore the amazing urban biodiversity found at Gallivan Center!

Being in the heart of downtown this is a great opportunity to check out what's living in the city and help us document observations showcasing urban ecology. Who knows what we may find!

Salt Lake City’s 9th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is a three-day event and will take place Friday, Aug. 11 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 13 from noon to 7 p.m. Festival Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are free. $5 parking will be offered in the Utah One/Gallivan/Marriott parking lot. This parking lot can be accessed by 200 S. Parking will also be available at the Walker Center across the street for $5 to $25, depending on how long you are parked there. Don't forget if you bike there is a free VALET service.
