LLELA Blacklighting/Mothing event Saturday Oct. 8th 6:30 - 11 pm

@landrygrant Landry Grant is wrapping up her UNT LLELA internship with a community blacklighting event at LLELA Saturday Oct. 8th from 6:30 - 11pm.
Enter through the main front gate. We will meet at the office/classroom/greenhouse Blackjack Trailhead. After entering through the front gate, take the first gravel driveway on your right and park in the lot.
This event will be free of charge. Please bring your water, blacklight set-ups if you have some, insect repellent, and wear-close toed shoes.

@annikaml I know, poor planning on my part. I needed to get Landry's LLELA intern hours cleared for her scholarship so this weekend was the best choice. I'll miss those of you going to the bioblitz down in Williamson county.

Looks fun, it'll be right next to the field sites I used to work in last year. The bug and moth activity is really good from what I remember!

October weekends are always so busy in the outdoor world! Wish I could make it. The mothing should be excellent. Have fun!
I wish I could come, but I work that night. I will be off during Nov, Dec & Jan - thanks to surgery. If there are any events during that time, I will be there!
Oh man. Guess I'm a maybe. Have Audubon Big Sit that day so depends if I have energy to drive all the way up there afterwards.
I’ll do my best to make it out to this one! I’ve never done one of these mothing events. Does anyone have any spare equipment or mind me tagging along with them?
Just come, Josh! If you have a headlamp or a spare flashlight, that helps with the photography. There will be loads of stations to watch the bugs flock in! :)
Hi everyone! First of all, I want to give a big thank you to everyone who joined us for mothing on Saturday night! I'm so appreciative that we had a great turn out. Just FYI -- this Saturday, we'll have a black-lighting event in Rockwall!!! :) If you're able to make it, it should be pretty interesting!
