Welcome to the project for biodiversity around homes!
As we all more closely inspect our immediate surroundings as of April 2020, it seemed like a good time to pull together some projects that capture biodiversity in homes around the world.
If anyone else has a project that you'd like to be added to this umbrella, please leave a comment below.
@jakob and @aztekium_tutor are also project admins on this who can add new projects. We could add more people as project admins if others want to write journal posts or pretty it up with a project icon and banner.

What a great umbrella project! Our small urban garden project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/urban-garden. Please, add it to the project. Thank you!
Our property is 3 half acre lots (so 1.5 acres total) that back up to a shallow lake in a rural area. The back area of the lots slope pretty steeply down to the lake with a flat area along the lake shore that floods briefly after heavy rains. There is a well trodden animal trail running along the shoreline. The extra two lots are only cleared in a small area near the front of the property where we have our vegetable garden. Past those two lots is a small nature preserve (about 10 acres). We have not added any non-native landscaping plants and have removed some of the ones already there. We mow the immediate area around the house and garden regularly and the rest once a year or less.
Nearly all my observations are made on my one acre property in Oklahoma. I would like to join this interesting project, if you think it worthy.
Hi @terrybb, this is an umbrella project, which is simply a collection of exisiting projects. You'd be welcome to join but please create a project for your yard at www.inaturalist.org/projects. You will probably need to create a new place at www.inaturalist.org/places to set this place as a geographic filter for your project.
@terrybb another way to do it is to make a traditional project and then add the observations from your yard to the project manually. They can be added as a batch. You don't have to add them one by one. You don't need to make a place. This is how I did my project so that I can hide the location of my property (observations must be obscured also).

Hi @carrieseltzer , for some reason this umbrella project is adding a bunch of my observations to itself, not just the ones at my home that i've added to my home project. For instance this, nowhere near my house. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/94361781 Not sure what is going on here.
Yeah @charlie there seems to be a bug in the last week with the project displaying on all observations for all project members. There's an issue for it on the forum and I put it in this week's support report.
Hi @charlie, I noticed this too, with many if not all of my observations linking to the project page. The project is only displayed on the project list.

I know that you were unable to add my Urban Garden project (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/urban-garden) last year because it was a traditional one but looking at the "Managing projects" page it is indicated that "Both Collection and Traditional projects can be used in an Umbrella project, and up to 500 projects can be collated by an Umbrella project." I created a test umbrella project including both types of projects and it worked. I am wondering what causes the problem here.
